Volunteer Game Plan

First off, Thank You for participating in this years Smash! This event wouldn't happen if it weren't for your generous support.

So where do we go from here? I’ll tell you!

There will be two shifts:

Morning

9am – 1pm: Setup in the morning, then kickoff the event at 11am.

Afternoon
1pm – 5pm: Take over running the event, and then take down from 4-5pm.

We need people in all areas, and will determine where people fit in morning of the event. If you fit into one of the specialty areas of have some special skills you think would help – please let us know ASAP.

Food

There will be no breakfast provided – so eat breakfast first, but Extreme Pita & Mucho Burrito have generously donated a free lunch for all our volunteers. You will be given a voucher at registration that can be used anytime throughout the day.

Specialty Areas

Sound and stage hands, camera and video, entertainment performers, face painters.

Computer Dissemblers
Here we invite computer geeks and enthusiasts’ to use their IT skills. We need to remove batteries from motherboards, and check for glass, lead, and other dangerous parts and remove them prior to smashing.

Kid’s Village
We need one person per bouncer as well as two people for the giant slide and obstacle course. We also need floaters to watch the kid’s and keep them away from cars. If you’re artistic we need face painters too! Please let us know ahead of time if you want to face paint.

Smash Corral
We need people that can lift heavy stuff; we need to move computers and other smash items, sweep up debris, and make sure people are smashing properly. We also need people to watch the gate and assist with registration.

Feel like a Leader?

We need leaders in all areas. If you want to lead please let us know, then come out to leader training:

Thursday June 23, 7:00-8:30pm at Southcentre Mall. We will meet at the Starbucks at the main (food court) entrance and then proceed outside to the site.

What we need from you:

1)   T-Shirt Size (unisex T-shirts)

2)   Desired shift (you can also do both)

3)   If there are any special skills or areas. See above.
